A quick refresher course, lest we forget, on what has happened to many "friends" of the Clintons ... 1-James McDougal - Clinton 's convicted Whitewater partner died of an apparent heart attack while in solitary confinement. He was a keywitness in Ken Starr's investigation. 2 -Mary Mahoney - A former White House intern was murdered July 1997at a Starbucks Coffee Shop in Georgetown. The murder happened just after she was to go public with her story of sexual harassment in the White House. 3- Vince Foster - Former White House counselor and colleague of Hillary Clinton at Little Rock's Rose Law firm. Died of a gunshot wound to the head, ruled a suicide. 4- Ron Brown - Secretary of Commerce and former DNC Chairman. Reported to have died by impact in a plane crash. A pathologist close to the investigation reported that there was a hole in the top of Brown's skull resembling a gunshot wound. At the time of his death Brown was being investigated, and spoke publicly of his willingness to cut a deal with prosecutors. The rest of the people on the plane also died. A few days later the air Traffic controller committed suicide. 5- C. Victor Raiser II- Raiser, a major player in the Clinton fundraising organization died in a private plane crash in July 1992 6-Paul Tulley - Democratic National Committee Political Director found dead in a hotel room in Little Rock, September 1992. Described by Clinton as a "dear friend and trusted advisor". 7-Ed Willey - Clinton fund raiser, found dead November 1993 deep in the woods in VA of a gunshot wound to the head. Ruled a suicide. Ed Willey died on the same day his wife Kathleen Willey claimed Bill Clinton groped her in the oval office in the White House. Ed Willey was involved in several Clinton fund raising events. 8-Jerry Parks -Head of Clinton's gubernatorial security team in Little Rock. Gunned down in his car at a deserted intersection outside Little Rock . Park's son said his father was building a dossier on Clinton. He allegedly threatened to reveal this information. After he died the files were mysteriously removed from his house. 9-James Bunch - Died from a gunshot "suicide." It was reported that he had a "Black Book" of people which contained names of influential people who visited prostitutes in Texas and Arkansas . 10-James Wilson - Was found dead in May 1993 from an apparent hanging suicide. He was reported to have ties to Whitewater. 11-Kathy Ferguson- Ex-wife of Arkansas Trooper Danny Ferguson, was found dead in May 1994, in her living room with a gunshot to her head. It was ruled a suicide even though there were several packed suitcases, as if she were going somewhere. Danny Ferguson was a co-defendant along with Bill Clinton in the Paula Jones lawsuit. KathyFerguson was a possible corroborating witness for Paula Jones. 12-Bill Shelton - Arkansas State Trooper and fiance of Kathy Ferguson. Critical of the suicide ruling of his fiance. He was found dead in June, 1994, of a gunshot wound (also ruled a suicide) at the gravesite of his fiancee. 13-Gandy Baugh - Attorney for Clinton 's friend Dan Lassater, died by "jumping" out a window of a tall building January, 1994. His client was a convicted drug distributor. 14-Florence Martin - Accountant & subcontractor for the CIA, was related to the Barry Seal Mean Airport drug smuggling case. He died of three gunshot wounds. 15- Suzanne Coleman - Reportedly had an affair with Clinton when he was Arkansas Attorney General. Died of a gunshot wound to the back of the head, ruled a suicide. Was pregnant at the time of her death. 16-Paula Grober - Clinton 's speech interpreter for the deaf from 1978 until her death December 9, 1992 . She died in a one car accident. 17- Danny Casolaro - Investigative reporter. Investigating Mean Airport and Arkansas Development Finance Authority. He slit his wrists, apparently, in the middle of his investigation. 18- Paul Wilcher - Attorney investigating corruption at Mena Airportwith Casolaro and the 1980 "October Surprise" was found dead on a toilet June 22, 1993 in his Washington, DC apartment. Had delivered a report to Janet Reno 3 weeks before his death. 19-Jon Parnell Walker - Whitewater investigator for Resolution Trust Corp. Jumped to his death from his Arlington, Virginia apartment balcony August 15, 1993. He was investigating the Morgan Guaranty scandal. 20-Barbara Wise - Commerce Department staffer. Worked closely with Ron Brown and John Huang. Cause of death unknown. Died November 29, 1996 .Her bruised, nude body was found locked in her office at theDepartment of Commerce. 21- Charles Meissner -Assistant Secretary of Commerce who gave John Huang special security clearance, died shortly thereafter in a small plane crash. 22-Dr. Stanley Heard - Chairman of the National Chiropractic Health Care Advisory Committee died with his attorney Steve Dickson in a small plane crash. Dr. Heard, in addition to serving on Clinton's advisory council personally treated Clinton 's mother, stepfather and brother. 23-Barry Seal -Drug running pilot out of Mena Arkansas , death was no accident 24-Johnny Lawhorn Jr. - Mechanic, found a check made out to BillClinton in the trunk of a car left at his repair shop. He was found dead after his car had hit a utility pole. 25-Stanley Huggins - Investigated Madison Guaranty. His death was a purported suicide and his report was never released. 26- Hershell Friday - Attorney and Clinton fund raiser died March 1,1994 when his plane exploded. 27- Kevin Ives & Don Henry - Known as "The boys on the track" case.Reports say the boys may have stumbled upon the Mena Arkansas airport drug operation. A controversial case, the initial report of death said, due to falling asleep on railroad tracks. Later reports claim the2 boys had been slain before being placed o n the tracks. Many linked to the case died before their testimony could come before a Grand Jury. Ben Rich was a very close friend of John Andrews, who was the Senior Special Projects of Special Divisions at Testor’s Model Corporation in San Diego, California. UFOs, Both E. T. and Manmade: "Unfunded Opportunities" John would ask Ben Rich questions about classified aircraft and Ben never released any specific classified answers, but he did provide John Andrews some interesting points. One of these points was a question that John posed to Ben Rich. He was asking Ben if he was a believer in manmade UFOs and extraterrestrial UFOs. We have Ben’s response – I’m looking at this document. It’s dated July 21, 1986. It’s on official Lockheed letterhead from Ben Rich. Ben Rich and the F-117A Nighthawk. Benjamin Robert Rich (June 18, 1925 – January 5, 1995) was the second director of Lockheed's Skunk Works from 1975 to 1991, succeeding its founder, Kelly Johnson. Regarded as the "father of stealth," Ben Rich was responsible for leading the development of the F-117, the first production stealth aircraft. He also worked on the F-104, U-2, SR-71, A-12, and F-22 among others, many of which are still classified. ‘July 21, 1986 Dear John: Yes, I'm a believer in BOTH categories. I feel everything is possible. Many of our manmade UFOs were unfunded opportunities. In both categories, there are a lot of geeks and charlatans. Be cautious.’ So, the question is: what exactly did Ben Rich mean when he talked about ‘unfunded opportunities’? Was he speaking of classified programs within the Skunk Works that did not get proper funding? Or, was he speaking of hand-me-downs that we received from others? Technology "To Take E. T. Home" ISN’T IT BEN RICH WHO SPOKE ONLY A FEW YEARS AGO AT A MEETING IN CALIFORNIA AND SAID WE HAD THE TECHNOLOGY ‘TO TAKE E. T. HOME’? That’s exactly correct, Linda. I have that quote right here. Mr. Ben Rich passed away in 1995 and before he passed away, he dropped a number of bombshells. This took place at Wright-Patterson AFB back in 1993. He gave a slide presentation there and also at the UCLA School of Engineering Alumni speech – he gave on March 23, 1993. At the very end of his presentation, in both of these venues, he completed his slides with the following quote: ‘The U. S. Air Force has just given us a contract to take E. T. back home.’ He also mentioned, ‘We also know how to travel to the stars.’ And he also mentioned at the UCLA speech, ‘It is time to end all secrecy on this as it no longer poses a national security threat and to make the technology available for use in the private sector.’ That’s exactly what we’re talking about here. He was telling us about a whole level of aircraft, of spacecraft, of advanced propulsion systems that are so far advanced. He even mentioned technologies that are 50 years beyond even what we could possibly dream of. Now, when you hear that coming from the Director of the Skunk Works, I think it is important to really take that to heart. This gentleman knew something and he was trying to tell us something. And I think this is the space program that none of us have a clue about in the civilian sector. This is what Ben Rich was trying to tell us about. THAT THERE IS A SECOND, SECRET PARALLEL SPACE PROGRAM TO NASA. Absolutely – 100%. "Lifting Body" Demonstrated At Norton AFB on November 12, 1988 DO YOU HAVE ANY OTHER DETAILS TO FILL IN ABOUT WHO THE ASTRONAUTS COULD BE AND WHAT MIGHT BE THE CURRENT MOST CUTTING EDGE AERIAL CRAFT WE MIGHT HAVE IN SECRET? I do not know who the secret astronaut corps would be, but I do have at least an idea of some of the craft they might fly. I will reference an event that took place on November 12, 1988 – this is two days after the F-117A was declassified and put into the public domain. This was an exhibit to garner support for black budget aerospace programs. We know that California Congressman George Brown, Jr., was present. We also know that U. S. Senator Alan Cranston was present and a number of high-level military brass was also present at this classified exhibit. This was not open to the general public. Now, one aerospace engineer who did come forward and provide details – he was actually at this exhibit. He mentioned that there were a number of aircraft in this hangar. There were two semi-classified hovercraft that have now since gone into the commercial industry. He also described a flattened football, diamond-shaped aircraft. Reference: Aviation Week & Space Technology December 24, 1990, has a very good drawing, a schematic of what this particular aircraft looked like. Roughly it was 100 feet in length and approximately 65 feet wide – completely composed of heat-ablative thermo-resistance space shuttle tiles - the same tiles that you would see on the space shuttle. [ Editor's Note: Thermal Protection System (TPS) reinforced carbon-carbon that can withstand up to 3,000 degrees F. on reentry into Earth’s atmosphere.] On control surfaces along the leading and trailing edges of the aircraft; tricycle landing gear with wire mesh wheels; and this was a completely unmanned aircraft. This was one of the aircraft that was at the 1988 exhibit. This was an unmanned aerial vehicle that had 121 launch tubes at the lower portion of the fuselage. They had the capability of launching a 1/10th megaton warhead at less than 1/10th of a second. There were 18 of these aircraft built during the Reagan Administration. THAT MEANS THE NUCLEAR MISSILES COULD BE LAUNCHED FROM HIGH IN OUR ATMOSPHERE WITHOUT HAVING PILOTS INSIDE THOSE AIRPLANES? That’s exactly correct. They could be to the Soviet Union in less than three hours and then be back home and the Soviet Union would not even know what was going on because these things are extremely stealthy and could not be intercepted via missiles or aircraft. WHERE DO YOU THINK THESE AIRCRAFT ARE TODAY? No one knows, but I can only guess that some of them are at a remote facility at Eglin AFB, Florida. They could also be at an underground facility called ‘Dyson’s Dock’ at the remote test site in Nevada, also known as ‘Area 51.’ And then also the third option is Edwards North Base, Mohave, California. Electrostatic Reduction of Wing Drag Saves Fuel - Why No Application to Civilian Aircraft? IN YOUR PRESENTATION, I THOUGHT ONE OF THE FASCINATING BUT DISTURBING PART WAS A DRAWING FOR A PLANE OF A MILITARY APPLICATION IN WHICH ELECTROSTATIC FIELDS WERE PLACED ON THE FRONT OF THE WINGS AND I THINK AND IN THE TAIL IN ORDER TO REDUCE DRAG. That’s correct. Now, this comes from March 9, 1992, Aviation Week & Space Technology. That is the reference for this and you will recall that twenty-one Northrup B-2 ATV stealth bombers have been built at the cost of $2.2 billion per aircraft. The Northrup engineers who worked on the program were getting really disgusted that the technologies associated with the B-2 were not being trickled down into the commercial airline industry. That’s why they came forward. Text and illustrations above and below by Michael Schratt. What the engineers said is that a number of technologies that are actually in use on the B-2 were classified technologies. One of them referenced, ‘T. T. Brown [Townsend Brown] Electrogravitic Patent No. 3,187, 206, specifically talking about how the B-2 electrically charges the leading edge of the wing to reduce the radar cross section. Then it negatively charges the exhaust gases to reduce the infrared signature. They also found out that a 1968 report from Northrup Grumman Corp. was that when you electrically charge the leading edge of the wing, there is a resulting drag coefficient reduction up to 60%. That could be retrofitted to the commercial airline industry, but it’s not happening. And that’s why the engineers came forward. IF WE WERE ABLE TO REDUCE THE DRAG ON OUR AIRLINERS BY 60%, THAT WOULD REDUCE THE FUEL DEMAND BY A LARGE AMOUNT. That’s exactly correct, yes. The implications are staggering and this has so many applications, but is not being used and that was the reason Northrup engineers came forward. And I certainly hope some day we do see this technology. IN A DAY AND AGE RIGHT NOW WHERE WE ARE FIGHTING FOR EVERY DROP OF OIL AND JET FUEL THAT WE CAN GET, ISN’T THERE SOMETHING CRIMINAL ABOUT THE SEPARATION AND SUPPRESSION OF ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES FROM CIVILIAN APPLICATIONS? I could not agree more, Linda. It’s our Constitutional obligation to question authority and that’s what we are doing tonight. I think an accounting should be made of these programs. They should be brought out into the light. Many of these programs represent absolutely no threat to the national security. That’s why I think they should be exposed. WHAT DO YOU THINK IT WOULD TAKE TO GET THIS OTHER SECRET OPENED UP? I think it would take a massive effort of engineers who have worked on the program willing to come forward with the hardware to back it up. We just can’t have only lights in the sky and we can’t just have testimonies and documents. It’s got to be a full frontal attack. We’ve got to have the actual hardware. You and I both know that the U. S. Air Force, the industrial-military complex privatized sector, they have archives, buildings, storage facilities with gun camera footage, with documentation, black and white glossy old time photos officially stamped ‘USAF Photographs’ that used to be at MacDill AFB, Florida, Armed Guard facility. These facilities do exist. Some of the secrets are in those and it’s my goal to at least tap into some of that. THE PHOTOS YOU ARE REFERENCING WOULD BE SUPPRESSED GOVERNMENT PHOTOS OF UNIDENTIFIED FLYING OBJECTS THAT ARE NOT FROM EARTH? Some of them that used to be classified programs that did have stability problems and those photographs have never been seen, yes. But they were manmade craft. SO THEY ARE MANMADE CRAFT PERHAPS MIMICING SOMETHING THAT WE’VE BEEN TRYING TO BACK-ENGINEER (OF AN ALIEN SOURCE)? That’s a very high possibility, yes, and that’s exactly what Ben Rich might have been alluding to when he made that comment about ‘unfunded opportunities.’ "Alien Reproduction Vehicle (ARV)" Norton AFB, November 12, 1988 WHEN YOU TAKE ALL OF THE RESEARCH THAT YOU HAVE DONE, WHAT WAS YOUR OWN GREATEST SHOCK? My greatest shock – I would have to say there were two shocks. Shock # 1 came when I got some details about the other aircraft at Norton AFB that looked like a flattened football, plus a group of other aircraft - and we can’t even call them aircraft because they don’t work on the principles of aerodynamic lift. They looked like a classic flying saucer, or almost like a Jell-o mold. There was an upper crew compartment that looked somewhat like a sphere with composite panels about a 35-degree angle from the centerline of the craft. The smallest craft had a crew of four that used off-the-shelf components. Now, that was very much stressed – off-the-shelf components. This was a completely manmade craft. An ejection system taken directly off the F4 Phantom was used on this particular ‘Jell-o mold’ craft. There were six CCD cameras along the circumference of the upper crew compartment and one on top for a total of seven (cameras). They could all be used in conjunction with each other and produce an artificial image on the inside of the pilot’s visor via the Apache display system. Now, along the central column, we believe there was a nuclear containment device and an articulated arm on the lower portion of the craft and a number of copper capacitor plates that used the Biefeld-Brown effect. The effect is more widely referred to as electrohydrodynamics (EHD), or sometimes electro-fluid-dynamics, a counterpart to the well-known magneto-hydrodynamics. Extensive research was performed during the 1950s and 1960s on the use of this electric propulsion effect during the publicized era of gravity control propulsion research. During 1964, Major De Seversky published his related work in U. S. Patent 3,130,945, and with the aim to forestall any possible misunderstanding about these devices, had termed these flying machines "ionocrafts." Similar modern flying devices are now called EHD thrusters.] These craft were hovering off the floor and they were bobbing, just like you would see a large tanker at port, just bobbing on their own waves. The U. S. military general who was giving the lecture at this exhibit stated that these craft could do light speed, or better. So, I think that was one of my first shocks. That demonstration coincided with a public Norton AFB Air Show, which was public. But the exhibit (of Jell-o mold craft) inside the big hangar was not public. Interestingly, at the Vegas Crash Retrieval Conference, I received a comment from a man who said he was at Norton AFB at the time and he said that base just prior to the air show went on lock down and they had dogs all over the place and armored personnel, military police and it was very unprecedented. DO YOU THINK THE 'JELLO MOLD' LIFTING BODY WAS LITERALLY NON-HUMAN TECHNOLOGY AND NOT BACK-ENGINEERED? Well, the craft had two code names. It was called the ‘Alien Reproduction Vehicle (ARV)’ and it was also called the ‘Fluxliner’ because it was based on high voltage electricity. The gentleman that I spoke to stressed that this was off-the-shelf components. There was nothing alien specifically about the components of the aircraft. However, it might have been based on something that was alien and hence the name, ‘Alien Reproduction Vehicle.’ They had a small VCR connected to a monitor showing this craft making hops, high speed hops – hopping and stopping and then moving and then making a hopping motion and they were showing this thing in motion. There was nobody in the cockpit when they had these on display. They were unmanned, but they did have the capability of being manned. Was Neutralizing Gravity Technology Available by 1960 and Applied to Secret Space Program? So, the implications are that if you look at the reference works and the literature from the vintage 1950s talking about atomic-powered spacecraft and nuclear-powered aircraft, it’s clear that the nuclear energy for aircraft propulsion program in the 1950s, we were already working on ways to crack the gravity barrier. By 1960, I believe we had the first working prototype. Now, that’s nine years before astronaut Neil Armstrong landed at Tranquility Base on the moon. That might be one reason why Neil Armstrong doesn’t talk about Apollo 11 because he knows he was not the first man on the moon. WHAT YOU ARE SAYING IS THAT BEFORE ARMSTRONG LANDED ON THE MOON, THERE WERE EITHER NON-HUMAN CRAFT ALREADY UP THERE? OR A SECRET SPACE PROGRAM FLIGHT MIGHT HAVE GOTTEN TO THE MOON BEFORE THE OFFICIAL NASA SPACE PROGRAM? Yes, Linda, that is consistent with the literature. The literature in the aerospace industry starting in 1955 was just full of references of atomic-powered spacecraft, nuclear engines, things that could be retrofitted to trans-atmospheric vehicles. By 1960, all of that was completely expunged from the literature 100%. So, it’s clear they made a breakthrough somewhere around 1960 where they started with these prototypes. That’s why I believe that we already had a flying prototype at that time that could probably get to the moon. The implications of what that means to NASA while it is still using Nazi SS liquid rocket technology that’s been obsolete for over 60 years is ridiculous! YOU MEAN THE SHUTTLES ARE BEING BLASTED UP INTO THE AIR IN A CRUDER TECHNOLOGY WHILE MORE SOPHISTICATED LIFTING BODIES ARE AVAILABLE IN THE SECRET AMERICAN SPACE PROGRAM? Absolutely. The chances of your child being submissive are very much increased. I wish more studies would be done on this idea because I find it very interesting. Because, what if the sex is unsatisfying for the woman but totally satisfying for the man? Does that change the chances of a particular sex being created? I would say yes. Think about it. Thats entirely male sexual energy being put into the act....thats why people who reflect attributes of both sexes were probably created under circumstances that were pleasurable for both sexes. If you have sex and its more athletic than romantic, then your child will be more right brain oriented than left brain. So my opinion is that it is wrong to create life when you are just having sex for pleasure. Imagine if we created life everytime we masturbated....overpopulation would truly be a problem...thats more of a joke than anything...I think the real problem with that is that it creates a selfish society that is more concerned with having its immediate needs met than it is with the long term needs of the whole met. IF you want to know more, email me at kicksex@hotmail.com         Its really weird how I always feel as if there is something else I need to do.  Even when I write everything down I can possibly think of, and check it off as I go, there's still .........something.  Humans have evolved to focus on many goals at once.  Humans evolved as ACTIVE animals, not lazy slobs.  Laziness is devolving humanity on many levels, the most obvious of which is our bodies.  Everything on our bodies is designed with movement in mind.  We did not evolve to the level that we are al now by sitting around and being lazy.  We evolved to this point from years and years of being active (hunter-gatherers) until farming was developed, but even farming required WAY more work than most people are expected to do nowadays.  Now, everything that one needs (at least, THINKS that they need) encourages individuality and selfishness.  Car's, TV's, computer's, CD player's, guitar's, drugs, movies, video games, etc,;...  The list goes on and on.  They are all means, BUT TO WHAT END?  Many "policy papers" written by the elite (the elite being defined as, in this context-politicians, music stars, media figures, all the super-rich) talk about the need to kill a certain number of people to maintain a balance of goods because there is only so much to go around (they call this "population control").  The idea being that, with a limited amount of resources available, only a certain number of people will be able to use them all.  This is a perfect idea to convince people of if one wants to horde all the goods for them selves, AND have a "logical" excuse for murdering large amounts of people.  Popular books espouse that selfishness is a virtue, that individuality is a moral, and that laziness is admirable.  Do you see a pattern here?  Make all people selfish, lazy, and individualistic, and the possibilities of them working together are next to zero.  Dont get me wrong about individuality.  I am not saying that conformity is the answer, or that all people are not different.  What I AM saying is that by making individuality more important in one's mind than working together, and sharing, the elite are ensuring that we will be so busy worrying about ourselves (as opposed to THE HUMAN RACE) that we will never be able to focus long enough to figure ou what is really happening to us.  AND THAT IS PRECISELY WHAT IS HAPPENING.  Look around you my friend; a world full of distractions of no real value.  Most being designed to keep you stationary.  The worst part is; you probably think your totally cool for "not giving a fuck" and "being yourself".  But the truth is, you are being decieved, in a very deep psychological way, into never seeing the forest for the trees.  Meanwhile, the people in power do what they want.  You dont care, as long as you have your (fill in the blank). I thought I would talk about something me and my friend Melanie were talking about today.  Well, I guess I brought it up.  I was in the middle of one of my rants.  Yelling about how people just dont fucking get it, how everyone seems to think that everything is just a big fucking game.  My friend reminded me of a time when our friend Adam brought a friend of his over (I cant remember her name).  We all watched a movie called "9/11 In Plane Site".  If you havent seen it, I highly reccomend it.  It proves, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that MILITARY PLANES, not Boeing 757's, crashed into the World Trade Center towers.  Being as that fact (and other info in the video) is kind of hard to swallow (especially for Bush supportors, of which Adam's friend could count herself as), I have empathy for those who dont want to understand what is going on.   But something she said struck me.  She said, in more or less words, that everything you see in front of is a product of your imagination, therefore, the government is a product of your imagination.  So, in accordance with these thoughts, if you pretend there is no overly oppresive government, there wont be one.  I guess if someone is trying to murder you, you should just close your eyes and hope they go away.  I hope the lunacy of that statement startles you, because it does me.  This is that state we are now in.  People have been misled to the point of BELIEVING that there is no reality outside of their head.  WHAT BETTER STRATEGY COULD THERE POSSIBLY BE FOR PEOPLE IN POWER!? THE WEAREALLGOD BULLETIN/CORKBOARD sound off, argue with me (if you dare), bitch, contribute to society       My Corkboard It is TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 27TH 2005 Exactly a week from when I last updated.  I dont know how many of you read this ("of you", being constituted by, my friends and people who know me), but I hope you all know that my heart is in this totally.  This is what I want my life to be.  I want it to be about informing people.  I want it to be about caring for the person next to me.  I want it to be communal in nature.  There is so much that is not communal and that is uncaring about our society.  Besides that, I feel that I can communicate with over half of you.  Everyday I see how our human race has been divided OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN, to the point where all that is really left of us is individuality. HUMANITY AND EVERYONE WHO IS ALIVE NEEDS TO HEAR THIS. Individuality will not save you when times are truly hard. I always wondered why I couldnt stand Ayn Rand, but Ive finally been able to put my finger on it.  Her writings are contributing full force to the destroying of humanity.  How is that? Her books look up to selfishness as the highest moral.  This is the highest folly. Her followers either become mindless followers of her religion of selfishness, or adamant Satanists out to do harm to others. Friends and former friends who read this, THIS IS NO JOKE. My past friends consist of a who's who of Anti-Christian, Anti-God, Anti-social, Anti-Government, and Anti-moral individuals.  I consider myself to formally be one of these so-called "anti's".  They seem to always be looking for some way or reason OR EXCUSE to dislike the common man.  In other words, their personality is so judgemental, that they must come up with some intellectual, or otherwise, reason to PUT THEMSELVES ABOVE others.  If they had to go against Gandhi himself, they may do so, just to prove their point.  To sacrifice themselves at the alter of selfishness and individuality. Humanity would not exist how it is today without the humans helping other humans. Besides that, OUR PLANET EARTH would not exist how it is today without cooperation among species and lifeforms.  NOT JUST COOPERATION FROM A MERELY HUMAN PERSPECTIVE. Do you see what Im getting at? Since my last update, many people have died and suffered greatly thanks to some pesky levies in New Orleans.  Lets be honest here, we would not have had such a high loss of human life if these levies had not broke.  Did we know that the levies were a danger and that they simply werent high enough?  Yes.  Read this from the June 2003 issue of Civil Engineering Magazine.  "If a storm of category 4 or 5 were to hit New Orleans before the city was adequately prepared, what toll would it exact? In the 1980s Joseph Suhayda, then a coastal oceanographer in the civil engineering department at Louisiana State University (LSU), began to seek an answer to this question by simulating storms with a modified version of a hurricane model used by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Suhayda first began modeling the storms to help parishes in southeastern Louisiana determine appropriate flood elevations for FEMA’s National Flood Insurance Program. As his modeling capabilities improved, he began to more closely investigate the level of protection provided by the levees encircling New Orleans. Suhayda’s model contains a geographic information system overlay that divides a fairly large boundary, from Alabama to Texas, into 0.6 mi (1 km) grids containing information about ground elevations, land masses, and waterways. The FEMA hurricane model does not draw on the same processing power as AdCirc and in general produces more liberal projections of flooding from storm surges. But by solving numerical equations representing a storm’s pressure, wind forces, and forward velocity, Suhayda was able to use the model to predict the storm surge associated with an actual hurricane dozens of hours before it hit land. By subtracting the elevations on a topographical map of coastal Louisiana from those surge values, he was able to approximate the flood risk of a given storm. In the 1990s, Suhayda began modeling category 4 and 5 storms hitting New Orleans from a variety of directions. His results were frightening enough that he shared them with emergency preparedness officials throughout Louisiana. If such a severe storm were to hit the city from the southwest, for instance, Suhayda’s data indicate that the water level of Lake Pontchartrain would rise by as much as 12 ft (3.7 m). As the storm’s counterclockwise winds battered the levees on the northern shore of the city, the water would easily top the embankments and fill the streets to a depth of 25 ft (7.6 m) or more. Suhayda’s model is not the only one that describes such a catastrophe. A model called SLOSH (Sea, Lake, and Overland Surges from Hurricanes), which is used by the National Weather Service and local agencies concerned with emergency preparedness, portrays an equally grim outcome should a storm of category 5 hit New Orleans. The SLOSH model does not contain nearly as many computational nodes as does AdCirc, it does not use a finite-element grid to increase the resolution of the nodes on shore, and its boundary is much smaller. Even so, its results are disheartening. “Suppose it’s wrong,” says Combe, the Corps modeler. “Suppose twenty-five feet is only fifteen feet. Fifteen feet still floods the whole city up to the height of the levees.” Experts say a flood of this magnitude would probably shut down the city’s power plants and water and sewage treatment plants and might even take out its drainage system. The workhorse pumps would be clogged with debris, and the levees would suddenly be working to keep water in the city. Survivors of the storm,humans and animals alike, would be sharing space on the crests of levees until the Corps could dynamite holes in the structures to drain the area. In such a scenario, the American Red Cross estimates that between 25,000 and 100,000 people would die. That prospect and the amount of time it would take the Corps to construct adequate levee protection against a storm of category 4 stregth, have inspired Suhayda to push for what he calls a community haven project. His idea is for the city to construct a 30 ft (9 m) tall wall equipped with floodgates through the center of town to protect the heart of New Orleans and such culturally important areas as the French Quarter. That portion of the city lies between two bends in the Mississippi River and is therefore already protected by adequate levees on three sides. With its gates closed, the wall would complete a waterproof ring around the area. Suhayda says the wall would be cheaper and faster to build than the larger projects under consideration by the Corps. It could be constructed along an existing right-of-way and act as a sound wall most of time. “We’re going to build sound barriers along most of these roads anyway,” Suhayda says. “So for a small added cost, go ahead and make them capable of withstanding wind loads and hydrostatic heads.” The Corps would not necessarily be involved in the construction of such a wall because the latter would be land based. Even so, Naomi is adamantly opposed to the idea. “How do you protect people from two-hundred-mile-per-hour winds?” he asks. “Where do they go? What buildings are designed to withstand that? Where do they get their power and their food, and where do they rest their heads at night? Just keeping the water out isn’t enough. You don’t want to give people a false sense of security by saying that this is a refuge unless you have a place for them to go.” For the most part, New Orleans does not have places for people to go. The American Red Cross no longer provides emergency shelters in the city because its officials cannot guarantee the structural integrity of the locations. There simply are not enough buildings in the area that could withstand the forces of a category 4 or 5 storm. During the past 10 years Marc Levitan, a wind and structural engineer and the director of LSU’s Hurricane Center, has been involved in hundreds of building investigations throughout New Orleans to determine if certain structures could be used as so-called refuges of last resort. “With the vast majority of them, if you really do an analysis, you really wouldn’t want to use them,” he says. “They all have some sort of deficiency.” Most people would not wish to remain in the city if a category 4 or 5 storm were in prospect, but evacuating could be difficult. Experts say close to 400,000 people could be stranded in the city. There are an estimated 100,000 people without easy access to automobiles, and those who can drive may not be able to do so. During Hurricane Andrew, interstates throughout the South were brought to a standstill because simultaneous evacuations were taking place in several states. The only major planning improvement since then has been the decision to keep traffic away from the coast on both sides of evacuation routes. Complicating the difficulty in New Orleans is the fact that each of the city’s three major evacuation routes is over or near water. Suhayda’s model indicates that during a storm of category 5 Interstate 10, which is constructed on piers for a distance of almost 20 mi (32 km) west of the city, could be covered by more than 5 ft (1.5 m) of water."   http://www.pubs.asce.org/ceonline/ceonline03/0603feat.html Then theres this article from National Geographic. " The Louisiana bayou, hardest working marsh in America, is in big trouble, with dire consequences for residents, the nearby city of New Orleans, and seafood lovers everywhere.  It was a broiling August afternoon in New Orleans, Louisiana, the Big Easy, the City That Care Forgot. Those who ventured outside moved as if they were swimming in tupelo honey. Those inside paid silent homage to the man who invented air-conditioning as they watched TV "storm teams" warn of a hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico. Nothing surprising there: Hurricanes in August are as much a part of life in this town as hangovers on Ash Wednesday.   But the next day the storm gathered steam and drew a bead on the city. As the whirling maelstrom approached the coast, more than a million people evacuated to higher ground. Some 200,000 remained, however, the car-less, the homeless, the aged and infirm, and those die-hard New Orleanians who look for any excuse to throw a party.   The storm hit Breton Sound with the fury of a nuclear warhead, pushing a deadly storm surge into Lake Pontchartrain. The water crept to the top of the massive berm that holds back the lake and then spilled over. Nearly 80 percent of New Orleans lies below sea level, more than eight feet below in places, also the water poured in. A liquid brown wall washed over the brick ranch homes of Gentilly, over the clapboard houses of the Ninth Ward, over the white-columned porches of the Garden District, until it raced through the bars and strip joints on Bourbon Street like the pale rider of the Apocalypse. As it reached 25 feet (eight meters) over parts of the city, people climbed onto roofs to escape it.   Thousands drowned in the murky brew that was soon contaminated by sewage and industrial waste. Thousands more who survived the flood later perished from dehydration and disease as they waited to be rescued. It took two months to pump the city dry, and by then the Big Easy was buried under a blanket of putrid sediment, a million people were homeless, and 50,000 were dead. It was the worst natural disaster in the history of the United States.   When did this calamity happen? It hasn't,...yet. But the doomsday scenario is not far-fetched. The Federal Emergency Management Agency lists a hurricane strike on New Orleans as one of the most dire threats to the nation, up there with a large earthquake in California or a terrorist attack on New York City. Even the Red Cross no longer opens hurricane shelters in the city, claiming the risk to its workers is too great.   "The killer for Louisiana is a Category Three storm at 72 hours before landfall that becomes a Category Four at 48 hours and a Category Five at 24 hours, "coming from the worst direction," says Joe Suhayda, a retired coastal engineer at Louisiana State University who has spent 30 years studying the coast. Suhayda is sitting in a lakefront restaurant on an actual August afternoon sipping lemonade and talking about the chinks in the city's hurricane armor. "I don't think people realize how precarious we are," Suhayda says, watching sailboats glide by. "Our technology is great when it works. But when it fails, it's going to make things much worse."   The chances of such a storm hitting New Orleans in any given year are slight, but the danger is growing. Climatologists predict that powerful storms may occur more frequently this century, while rising sea level from global warming is putting low-lying coasts at greater risk. "It's not if it will happen," says University of New Orleans geologist Shea Penland. "It's when." In the above latter article, the Sheriff of Placquemines Parish, Jeff Hingle, said, "After Betsy these levies were designed for a Category 3.  You're now looking at a Category 5. You're looking at a storm that is as strong as Camille was, but bigger than Betsy was size-wise. These levies will not hold the water back. So we're urging people to leave. You're looking at these levies having 10 feet of water over the top of them easily." 10 feet over huh? Read this from DailyKos, the day after Katrina hit also. Why Did The Levies Break? by Armando Tue Aug 30th, 2005 at 19:57:44 PDT It may be too soon to be asking this question, but it has to be asked, and a comprehensive answer will be required. Some will say the answer is obvious - the hurricane. I don't accept that. Hurricane Katrina had come and gone when the levies broke early this morning. Indeed, let's review what was said to be the great risk of Hurricane Katrina: New Orleans faces a potential for catastrophic flooding if the storm surge reaches the predicted 18 to 22 feet. The levies along Lake Ponchartrain are just 17 feet high - lower in places. City streets could flood to depths of 20 feet, devastating the historic French Quarter, the Garden District and other tourist attractions. The city's 22 pumps could not keep up with such flooding, or even with the heaviest rains expected from the storm.   . . . In addition to deaths, Category 5 winds and the flooding of New Orleans would cause huge property losses. Insurance companies have been increasingly reluctant to sell property incurance policies in the city. Flooding would also leave behind a horrific stew of sewage, trash, storm debris, ruined possessions, petrochemicals washed in from the region's oil-related industrial infrastructure. Add alligators, snakes and fire ants to the mix ... well, it's not a pretty picture. And the damage to the nation's oil and gas infrastructure could push gasoline and home heating costs even higher. The New Orleans region hosts about a quarter of our oil and gas production. Oil and gas pipelines crosscross the region and offshore platforms do the drilling and pumping. . . . Buckle your seatbelts.   Well, Hurricane Katrina came and went. The storm surge came and went. And the levies did not break as a result. So what happened? More on the flip. Armando's diary :: :: Tonight we are told: The waters of swollen Lake Pontchartrain poured into this sunken city today through a gaping hole in a storm-damaged levee, as emergency workers labored to stanch the flow and used boats and helicopters to rescue hundreds of people stranded on rooftops.   . . . In New Orleans, until last night a popular, carefree tourist destination, officials said the widespread flooding could get worse if damage to the city's protective levees was not repaired soon. Although flooding was shallow in some places, in others it was much as 20 feet, and city officials were telling people to get out, saying the municipal government itself was relocating to Baton Rouge. The flooding in New Orleans was the result of large breach in a levee on a canal that keeps the waters of Lake Pontchartrain out of the city. The hole, at the 17th Street flood wall, is at least 100 yards long and officials say it may be getting bigger. The United States Army Corps of Engineers was trying to plug the gap by using helicopters to drop huge sandbags - each weighing 3,000 pounds - into the breech. New Orleans lies mostly below sea level and is protected by a network of pumps, canals and levees. But many of the pumps were not working this morning. CNN reported that the storm caused another breach at Industrial Canal, and that corps officials feared another gap forming near Pumping Station No. 6. The water coming through the first gap gushed into residential areas and moved down into the center of the city toward the Mississippi River, but so far, the French Quarter was dry. Other hazards arose.   Honestly, did the people in charge just go off duty once the hurricane passed by New Orleans yesterday afternoon? Was no one monitoring the levies and the working of the pumps? With due respect to all involved, what in the hell were they doing from yesterday afternoon till this morning? Everyone was told that the MAJOR threat was the breaking of the levies. How can you then ignore this AFTER the storm passes? At first blush, this seems inexcusable.   Update [2005-8-30 23:8:35 by Armando]: Larry in NYC suggests that the levies actually broke during the hurricane but that the breaks were not discovered until this morning. First, that seems far fetched to me. But more importantly, supposing that Larry is right, that seems a more damning indictment to me. Why were the levies not carefully checked YESTERDAY after the hurricane passed? Would that not have been the first thing to do? " Are you starting to get the same idea as me?  This is starting to look really damning for the federal government as far as Im concerned.  You read it, THE HURRICANE CAME AND WENT. THE STORM SURGE CAME AND WENT. THEN THE LEVIES BROKE. Some think the levies were intentionally blown up, in fact, many heard a large explosion.
